Little Miss History Travels to USS SLATER Destroyer Escort travels back in time to WW ll and the efficiency of this highly versatile warship that successfully guided all 176 merchant ships in its charge across the Atlantic during wartime. The story goes on to explain so many interesting details about the warship’s life, crew, and captain, and the warship’s subsequent retirement as a floating historical museum in Albany.
This is a fascinating journey into American history that all readers will enjoy!
The writing is superb, and the artwork incorporated into photo illustrations by Victor Ramon Mojica is incredible.
